Nichrome alloy wire & mesh is commonly used as resistance wire, heating elements in things like toasters and heaters, and a few other related applications.
A common nichrome alloy wire mesh is 80/20 Ni Cr wire mesh, NiCr80 20 wire mesh, or Cr20Ni80 wire mesh, which is of 80% nickel and 20% chromium by mass.
Besides 80/20 NiCr wire mesh, there are many other combinations of metals for various applications.
