Introduction

What are Decorative Wire Mesh Ceilings?

Decorative Wire Mesh Ceilings refer to those ornamental architectural metal mesh screens designed specifically for ceilings in commercial buildings, offering both aesthetic appeal and functional benefits.

The most popular and cost-effective options are typically made from expanded metal mesh or welded steel wire mesh, with mild steel being a common choice for budget-friendly solutions.

However, expanded metal and perforated screens are now so widely used that they can feel ordinary, making them a less distinctive choice for architectural applications.

If you're seeking something truly special and unique, our factory produces decorative wire mesh that stands out and adds a touch of innovation to commercial ceiling designs.

With a vast array of patterns and variants, METART decorative mesh offers a bespoke metal ceiling solution tailored to the needs of designers and architects.

Below are the most popular finishes currently trending for this architectural wire mesh design.

INTRODUCTION TO THE DECORATIVE WIRE MESH CEILING PATTERN "METART-WW50-315829"

The METART-WW50-315829 is a stainless steel decorative woven wire mesh featuring the "WW50" woven wire pattern.

It is manufactured from 3x1.5mm pre-crimped flat stainless steel wires, which are diagonally inserted and reinforced by 2x0.8mm straightened flat wires.

The number "315829" represents the key specifications of this architectural wire mesh:

"3": Refers to the 3mm width of the crimped wire strips.

"15": Indicates a nominal 1.5mm thickness of the crimped strips.

"8": Denotes the smaller square opening, measuring 8x8mm.

"29": Represents the larger opening created by the crimped wire strips.

From Wire to Mesh: How the Decor Mesh "WW50-315829" is Made?

In this video, we demonstrate how the architectural mesh design "WW50-315829" is produced.

First, the wires are pre-crimped to the desired shape.

Next, the warp wires are threaded into the heddles and pulled through to the operation side of the machine. Pre-cut crimped weft wires are then prepared and positioned on the right side of the loom.

The weft wires are manually fed across the shed of warp wires. Once the required panel length is reached, the mesh is cut, and the process is repeated for the next sheet.

After the wire mesh panels are cut to size, they are laid on the ground, and the diagonal flat strips are manually inserted with precision to complete the entire weaving process.

The machine and production technique might look archaic, but the finished product is still fantastic.

Unlimited Applications of the WW50-315829 Wire Mesh

The functions and applications of the WW50-315829 wire mesh extend far beyond architectural ceiling infill panels.

This versatile design is also ideal for a wide range of interior and exterior decorative purposes.

It is especially well-suited as an infill mesh for decorative partition screens. When properly framed with angles or other metal framing, it makes an excellent choice for railing infill panels, particularly in upscale commercial interiors.

For residential applications, this decorative mesh can be used as a cabinet wire grille. Not only does it enhance the aesthetic appeal of your cabinetry, but it also allows for ample ventilation, ensuring your dinnerware and food receive fresh air.

If the larger openings raise concerns about visibility, finer woven wire mesh can easily be attached to the rigid wire mesh to provide additional privacy as needed.
