PRODUCTION PROCESS of "METART-WW03" DECOR METAL SCREEN:

The manufacturing of the "METART-WW03" decorative metal screen follows a process similar to other woven meshes, incorporating a common crimped wire mesh pattern into various designs.

The screen is created through the collaboration of warp wires and weft wires, a standard practice in woven wire production. Specially crafted weft wires undergo a customized wire-drawing process to achieve the desired shape. These wires then pass through crimping wheels made of hard alloy, resulting in the distinctive ornamental crimps.

The weft consists of architectural metal strips measuring 3mm in width and 1.2mm in thickness, while the warp wire is composed of straightened wire rods with a thickness of 1.5mm. During the weaving process, half of the warp wires ascend, while the remaining half is lowered by heddle frames. This controlled movement creates a shed. Skilled operators manually feed shute wire strips through the shed, positioning them accurately. The wire strips follow a simple and repeated pattern, going under one wire rod and over another. The crimped bumps in the design provide sufficient space for the wire rods to maintain their straightness and rigidity without bending. This careful production process ensures the quality and integrity of the "METART-WW03" cladding screen.

COLORFUL FINISHES FOR "METART-WW03" CLADDING WIRE MESH

Currently, there are three major finishes for this architectural metal mesh: antique bronze plated finish, antique copper plated finish, and antique brass plated finish.

Besides the above-mentioned, we also provide brass and copper finishes without antique style. And PVD-plated finish to a gold, rose gold, black, or grey color. We currently don't have these color-plated samples to exhibit, but the samples for these colors are customizable.

HOW SHOULD I ORDER THIS DECORATIVE WIRE MESH PANEL?

1. Choose a proper raw material based on your final application.

Among all the materials, stainless steel is the most popular raw material for this wire mesh design. Till now, no other materials have been used except stainless steel. But there are also quite a lot of different stainless steel types. For architectural use, SS201, SS304, and SS316 are the most widely used and well-known by the public. 

SS304 - Widely used for interior decoration. It is also known as food-grade stainless steel, which is the most commonly seen stainless steel in our daily lives, including kitchen wares, cups, coffee makers, and tea filters.

SS316 - Marine-grade stainless steel for exterior projects. It can also be used for interior decoration in coastal cities where a highly corrosion-resistant material is needed.

SS201 - Least recommended but the most cost-effective material for interior decoration. It is used for those interior cladding projects where the budget is the top priority.

2. Specify the size of the wire screen. 

Please pay attention to the orientation of the wires. The direction of the metal strips is usually considered the width of this mesh.

The direction of the straightened wire rods is considered as the length of the mesh

The maximum width is 2500MM for this pattern. There is no specific maximum length for this pattern. Theoretically, the length doesn't have a limitation.

But we have to consider the container size and a suitable size for easier packing and transportation. 

In this case, it is better to control the dimensions within 2000x3000MM

3. Let us know the finish. （surface treatment)

4. The quantity. ( This is very important for an estimate; we can supply a small quantity, but the production cost for one square meter and 100 square meters would be quite different.)
 

SAMPLING

1. Free small samples in Mill Finish. (default 304 stainless steel)

2. Small copper alloy-plated samples need to be produced. A very small sample fee is needed. The lead time for samples with color is around 2 weeks.
