INTRODUCING DESIGNER METAL

Designer metal refers to any architectural metal plates or metal screens that are decorative and favored by designers and architects. These decorative metals can be made by weaving, perforation, or welding to achieve a better visual looks to suit interior and exterior decorations. These fancy metal products can be decorative woven wire mesh, perforated metal mesh, or laser cut decorative screens, suitable for cladding, ceiling infills, facade and garden decorations.

EXPLANATION OF OUR DESIGNER METAL PATTERN CODE "METART-WW21F-69119"

METART-WW21F is one of the variants in WW21 series.

F = Flattened wire

Number "69" in the pattern code represents a nominal 7mm metal strip with an actual measurement 6.9MM

Number "1" represents the thickenss of wire big wire strip is 1mm.
Number "19" is the pitch of two small flattened wire groups, if you measure from the center of the wire group to another group of wires, it is about 19mm

HOW IS "METART-WW21F-69119" DESIGNER METAL WIRE MESH PRODUCED?

The stylish decorative metal strips are customized and then crimped to the required shape before weaving. The small wire strips are directly flatted and crimped from a regular stainless steel wire.  The big wire strip is made of 6.9 wide x 1mm thick stainless steel and the smaller wire is measured at 1.87mm width after it is flattened. The metal strips are tightly woven with a very robust and rigid structure. And the screen is as flat as a piece of sheet metal. 

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN "METART-WW21F-69119" AND "METART-WW21-69138"?

The major differences between these 2 pattern codes lie in three features.

1. WW21F-69119 adopts relatively thicker flattened small wire strips to have a more stylish appearance.

2. The density of the small wire strip groups is higher than "WW21-69138", the pattern "WW21F-69119" increased one group of small wire strips in between the original two wire groups in pattern "WW21-69138", making the centers of adjacent wire groups changing from 38mm to 19mm.

3. WW21F-69119 is more robust than WW2169138.

METART-WW21F-69119 has a very limited opening rate which is only about 17%. This makes this decorative metal mesh a perfect infill decorative material for interior partition screens. Meanwhile, this decorative wire pattern also has a perfect and smooth surface. The overall design looks like a decorative metal plate that is cut out to shape. This could also be a stunning cladding metal mesh panel for interior design and exterior construction.

► To specify the raw material grade.

Stainless steel is the best raw material to produce this designer screen metals. But there are many different grades of stainless steel. Our default stainless steel grade is SS304, (AISI 304 stainless steel, a very common and widely used food grade stainless steel material). But if your project is based in a coastal city, or it is for exterior cladding, please consider a higher grade, AISI316 instead. 

► Let us know the sheet size and corresponding quantity.

It is important to provide the sheet size and quantity before making an inquiry. That will help us to make the estimate, including the production cost, packing fee and freight carges, etc.

► Indicate the finish you want.

The most popular finish for this stainless steel decorative metals includes antique brass plated finish, antique bronze finish, and antique copper finish. Besides this 3 major copper alloy plated finishes, we could also supply different color of PVD plated finishes.

► Confirm the orientation of the design ( Only needed before or after placing an order)

As we can see clearly this designer woven wire screen is made of different shapes of wires in both directions, it is important to figure out which side of the screen should be the width and which direction should be the height. But during the quoting stage, this is not needed. It must be finalized before the order is placed.
