Introduction

What is Decorative Metal Lattice?

Decorative metal lattice is a grid-like architectural metal mesh panels made from decorative metal materials, designed for home and building decorations.

It typically features special architectural patterns, repetitive designs, or geometric patterns that add visual interest and serve as a decorative element in architectural and interior applications.

Introducing the New Designed and Published Metal Lattice Pattern "METARAT-WW59"

This decorative metal lattice design features a unique design, crafted with two types of decorative flat wire strips, both showcasing architectural grooves on their wire surfaces. The pattern forms a repetitive large square structure created by nominal 5x1mm metal strips, with a cross design positioned at the center of each square. The central cross is made from nominal 2.9x1mm finner metal strips.

The wider metal strips are deeply pre-crimped, creating a striking three dimensional visual effect that adds sufficient depth to the metal lattice screen. Once the smaller flat wires are inserted, they are perfectly aligned and remain smooth without any crimping, enhancing the overall aesthetic and structural integrity of the decorative metal mesh design.

One - Of - A - Kind Design Inspired by the Classic Luxury Burberry Check Pattern

This stainless steel wire lattice draws inspiration from the iconic Burberry check design, offering a familiar and stylish mesh grid pattern.

With its intersecting grooved wires and 3D crimped details, it creates a balanced and eye-catching look.

The design is versatile and works well in various applications, such as interiors, storefronts, or branding, giving a classic yet modern touch to any space which is a practical architectural mesh solution with a hint of timeless style.

What is the Best Material for this Lattice Metal Pattern?

The best material for this lattice metal pattern is stainless steel.

Why Not Mild Steel?

Mild steel is not suitable for architectural wire mesh due to its susceptibility to rust. Even with painted or powder-coated finishes, it tends to corrode from the inside out over time which makes it an unsuitable choice for both residential and commercial decorative elements.

Why Stainless Steel?

Stainless steel offers unmatched versatility and durability, making it a superior choice for building materials in both interior and exterior projects.

Its corrosion resistance and aesthetic finish ensure a longer lifespan and lower maintenance, making it ideal for architectural applications.

How to Choose a Proper Stainless Steel Grade?

SS201: The most budget-friendly option, particularly suitable for interior residential projects. Proper finishing and an additional protective layer are essential to enhance its durability, as SS201 is less resistant to corrosion compared to higher grades.

SS304: The most widely used stainless steel for decorative applications. Composed of 18% chromium and 8% nickel, it provides excellent weather resistance for interior use and moderate exterior applications.

SS316/SS316L: these two grades of stainless steels are often referred to as marine-grade stainless steel due to their exceptional corrosion resistance, making them the preferred choice for a variety of exterior applications. Composed of 18% chromium, 10% nickel—2% higher than SS304—and an additional 2% molybdenum, these alloys are specifically engineered to withstand harsh environments. The inclusion of molybdenum is especially significant; it enhances the steel's resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, particularly in chloride environments such as coastal areas or industrial settings with high levels of pollution. This makes SS316 and SS316L ideal for applications such as fencing, facades, and other architectural elements that must endure exposure to the elements.

Moreover, SS316L, which has a lower carbon content compared to regular SS316, offers additional benefits in terms of weldability and resistance to sensitization during welding processes. As a result, both SS316 and SS316L deliver a strong combination of durability and aesthetic appeal, ensuring longevity and reliability in demanding applications.

Excellent Physical Properties and Versatile Applications

This lightweight decorative metal lattice (approx 4.5 kg/sq m) presents an attractive design solution for a wide range of architectural applications, leveraging its simple yet classic aesthetic and robust yet lightweight construction.

Its approximately 44% open area and open weave structure allow for excellent ventilation while maintaining sufficient visual interest, a key factor differentiating it from more solid or opaque materials.

The manufacturing process of its raw materials, involving precise temperature control during wire drawing and the annealing process, results in a tensile strength of up to 1050 MPA in the metal strips before being crimped and weaving, ensuring durability and structural integrity.

This strength, combined with its inherent flexibility, allows for both intricate designs and adaptability to different installation methods.

High-End Interior Design:

The lattice's simplicity lends itself beautifully to high-end interior applications. In cabinetry and furniture, it can be incorporated as accent panels, creating visual depth and texture.

The open weave allows for air circulation within closets and cupboards, preventing mustiness and promoting a clean, organized feel.

This contrasts with traditional solid paneling, offering a more contemporary and breathable alternative.

For customers who want more privacy and to keep this pattern, you could order an extra layer of finer wire lattice as a backdrop, this is widely used by many buyers.

The metal lattice can be combined with other materials such as wood, or glass to create bespoke pieces reflecting individual styles and design preferences.

Commercial and Residential Partitions:

The lattice’s good strength and weldability make it an excellent choice for creating custom partition screens in both commercial and residential settings. Its lightweight nature simplifies installation and reduces structural load, particularly in projects with height restrictions or weight considerations.

While a supporting frame is recommended for optimal stability, the lattice itself contributes significantly to the overall structural integrity of the partition. The design’s inherent versatility allows for customization; it can be used to create full-height room dividers, and partition screens to define zones. The big opening rate allows for plenty of natural light penetration, avoiding the oppressive feeling often associated with solid partitions.

Concealing and Enhancing Functional Elements:

This lattice provides a stylish and effective way to conceal vents, radiators, and other functional elements while enhancing the space's overall aesthetic.

Its open weave design facilitates optimal airflow, preventing overheating and maintaining functionality.

Custom framing solutions can seamlessly integrate this stainless steel lattice into existing structures creating a visually unified design.

This application is particularly useful in areas where functional elements might otherwise detract from the design's overall aesthetic appeal. Its elegance and subtle sophistication elevate even utilitarian elements, creating a cohesive and refined look.
