How is METART-S05 Architectural Wire Mesh Made?
The "METART-S05" is a soft, structured architectural metal wire mesh made from a blend of three different materials: stainless steel wires, pure copper wires, and stainless steel cables. This unique combination gives the decorative mesh both strength and a beautiful, artistic appearance.
In one direction, the wires are grouped in sets of three: two stainless steel wires flanking a single copper wire in the center. Each wire in this group has a diameter of 0.27 mm. These hybrid wire groups are spaced approximately 2.4 mm apart. Fine stainless steel cables with a diameter of 0.39 mm are used in the other direction, providing superior tensile strength to the designer wire mesh.
The stainless steel cables are arranged irregularly, creating slot openings of varying sizes, ranging from 2.3 to 5.3 mm.
Due to the flexible nature of the stainless steel cables, the mesh is highly flexible along their direction and can be easily rolled up. In the perpendicular direction, while the mesh is less flexible, it remains quite soft due to the thinness of the wires (0.27 mm each). The grouping of three wires in this direction adds some rigidity, but the mesh retains flexibility overall.
Given its structure and features, this stylish metal mesh is primarily designed for interior decoration applications.
