GET A QUOTEThe double crimped weave is also referred to as Plain Weave as it looks exactly like a plain weave pattern, But actually, it is a little bit different from the regular plain weaving as we are talking about.
The common plain weave wire mesh has a pre-warping process individually on a warp beam. The wires were nicely beamed and then threaded through the heddles and weaving reed. After the weaving is started, the weft wires are automatically fed through a pre-spooler placed with a weft wire spool. Both the warp and weft wires are straight before being woven up.
The weft wires are placed in position by the beat of the sley, where the weaving reed was installed.
Whereas, the double-crimped weave adopts pre-crimped wires as both warp and weft. Most of the time, both warp and weft wires are cut to size after crimping for those bigger gauge wires. The beat-up motion gets easier as it just needs to be well placed in the crimps without a strong force. Using this weaving way, people don’t have to make a super heavy-duty loom to carry out the weaving task for those specifications can’t be achieved by regular looms. Meantime, it offers extra strength for those light weighted mesh specifications that need smaller wires.
